Sammy Leung (Sam Mei) and Selena Li attended a public event playing games with the audience. Selena wore a short skirt but due to a big breeze at the location her skirt was often blown. However she was aware of it and pressed down on her skirt to protect herself.
Sammy said that due to the financial crisis many big companies have cancelled their annual dinners. He had lost out on a lot of work. He said the only way is to cut down on Christmas presents and his son is one of the people that will suffer.

Yesterday evening, Selena Li, Nancy Wu, Angela Tong, Grace Wong, Sire Ma and Vivi Lee, performed their "Diamond Fund-raising Beauties" act in the annual long-run "Tung Wah Charity Show 2008". Selena Li said that she was ill but still performed, perhaps due to rehearsing every day and not wearing enough clothing. When she performed she nearly wanted to cry as she was frightened, the spinning made her physically dizzy. As for Nancy Wu she said it felt like her bones were being torn. But Angela Tong felt that it was worth-it and didn't mind the hard work as they raised a lot of money.

TVB has once again claimed an international accolade as Raymond Lam has been presented with the award for Best Drama Performance by an Actor at Singapore's 2008 Asian Television Awards (2008亞洲區電視大獎), presented on thursday evening.

Raymond was nominated for his performance in The Master of Taichi <太極> and rounds off a perfect year for TVB's hottest artiste.
To celebrate the win, TVB hosted a party for Raymond and fellow castmembers from Taichi Selena Li and Myolie Wu were invited, together with TVB executives Virginia Lok and Tommy Leung.

Asked if he felt that this award was consolation for him losing out on TVB's own Best Actor award this year, he said that they were not linked in any way. He added that because "Tai Chi" was aired early on in the year, then it was not fresh in the minds of the Hong Kong audience, unlike Moonlight Resonance <家好月圓> and The Four <少年四大名捕>, but he was pleased that the company had submitted the series as an entry because it was a good showcase for Chinese culture and historical background. He added that he was honoured to be the first Hong Kong artiste to win an Asian Television Award.
Asked how he felt about the poor ratings for Tai Chi in Hong Kong, Raymond replied that perhaps the local audience found the deeper storyline harder to absorb, but he was pleased that it did well in the overseas market.

Raymond added that in the past, he has always focussed on taking part in the awards process, but he was glad that he can win an honour on behalf of Hong Kong this time.

Preparations are continuing for this year's Tung Wah Charity Performance <歡樂滿東華>, which will be held this Saturday. Under the watchful eye of their coach, veteran action star Sharon Yeung Pan Pan, a group of beauties including Angela Tong, Selena Li, Nancy Wu, Sire Ma, Vivi Lee and Grace Wong gathered together yesterday at the TVB studios to continue rehearsals for their "Diamond Fund-raising Beauties" act, where they will demonstrate the flexibility of their bodies.

With her drink-driving case still looming, Angela still seemed quite tired, but she was very absorbed into her rehearsals and still pulled off the splits with ease. She said that there are a lot of difficult moves in this routine, so she is forcing herself to focus on the task. She added that although she has a lot of things to worry about at the moment, she did not want to endanger the other ladies by not paying attention. Angela explained that she has not been sleeping very well due to the stress of her case and she wanted to go and visit the injured parties, but she did not know if she was allowed to see them and whether or not this could be seen as interference with the case. As a result, she has asked her assistant to pass on her well-wishes. Angela went on to say that she would like to clarify the situation, but she is not able to discuss the details of the case with the press at the moment.

Joyce Cheng and Dexter Yeung were also rehearsing for their song and dance routine, where they will be performing 12 classic songs. Joyce said that she has not yet decided if she will be singing live for this assignment because it has been scheduled for a later slot and she would prefer to put all her efforts into her dancing on the night. She revealed that her songs will mainly consist of classics by Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung.
Asked if she will be wearing any sexy outfits, Joyce smiled hat she did not want to frighten everyone off. Dexter was asked if he was worried about the steamy dances with Joyce, he smiled that he has known her since they were young, so there is no awkwardness in working together.

Wong Cho Lam acts and sings, recently he asked many of his good friends to shoot his music special with him. Macy Chan, Selena Li, Leanne Li etc even sacrificed their looks for Wong Cho Lam, they appeared in Lolita outfits and posed.

Macy Chan, Selena Li, Yoyo Chen and Leanne Li had earlier filmed Cho Lam's new song's MV as gueststars. All the girls were dressed up as lolita and posed.
Selena Li, who is normally very nice, even felt it was embarassing. "I rarely dress like this, it's like dressing up as a doll. It's different from how I am normally. The MV is about me joining a pageant and needs me to do whatever I can to impress the judges. While shooting it was very funny, but afterwards when I re-watched it was embarassing."She praised Wong Cho Lam cross dressed very pretty. I can't believe Wong Cho Nam crossdressed has the Silhouette of a woman. If I was male and he was a girl, I would certainly fall in love with him."

Tavia Yeung, Shirley Yeung and Selena Li appeared as special guests for the Car Rental Company AVIS Ribbon cutting. Despite the economic crisis, all 3 of them said that they were not affected by it and the clients did not keep the price offerings down. Selena said: "Perhaps because my TV series is being aired and popular therefore my work load has not cut down but rather increased. In November I went to Mainland 4 times to perform shows". Also Shirley had just returned from Macau doing a show.

But they are worried that the work load will reduce next year that is why they wouldn't dare to spend a lot of money. Tavia said although she meets the requirements to be able to buy her Dream Car "Ferrari" but she won't dare to buy it. She would rather rent and that would be satisfying enough. Selena also said: "In the past my father was very wealthy, he had several Ferrrari's, Lamborghini. Due to the current circumstances she would only occasionally rent nice cars for him to drive". As for Moses Chan saying that he is willing to reduce his wages in order to keep his job. Tavia also thinks it's a time to get through the hard times together. "I rather reduce my wages than receive the envelope".

Yesterday Moses Chan, Tavia Yeung, Selena Li, Vincent Wong, Matthew Ko and Stephan Hyunh attended the 《光影明眸二十年》 event, "Best Light of the past 20 years" glasses show in Tuen Mun. They appeared in the costumes of 4 different TV series to do a show.

Speaking of TVB's big layoff on artistes, Moses expressed that the company is worried of their artistes and for the possible high unemployment rate and economic crisis. He said that after the financial tsuami, he has told his friends to not invest in stocks, Moses himself has 6 figures sum of stocks that is responsible for, turning very "hairy". He said: "Fortunately, the 6 figures stocks that I brought, I was cautious about it, so the impact was not too bad. (Did your fees get reduce when accepting shows?) Trying to get through tough times, prices does not matter, but it depends on what work it is."
In response to the market, this year Moses will carefully be select gifts, but rumored girlfriend Bernice Liu has to film overseas and cannot celebrate the holidays, only can text message him, he said: "we're light-weight friends! (Saving face?) Ha Ha Ha!"

Tavia expressed that on December 10th she will start filming for a new series, recently she has been accepting many shows. She claifies that she did not get fees reduced because of the financial crisis, nor did she get any increase in fees. Yesterday she accepted a job where she got a very satisfying fee, enough to buy a year worth of Christmas gifts. Tavia said that earlier she earned a decent amount of salaries, so she brought a sports car thats cost more than $30 million to award herself, her next goal is to buy a big house for her mom.

Yesterday night, Wong Cho Lam was busy shooting his Music Video "Lam Yi Boon Sik" in TVB City, once again he was dressed up like a girl with a group of artistes, included Selena Li, Leanne Li, Yoyo Chen, Macy Chan etc, they were all dressed up in Japanese Lolita outfits, Cho Lam's girlish look looked very trendy. Because earlier, Cho Lam received the [Most Improved Actor Award], the group of people celebrated for him.

One of them was Selena Li, after seeing her Lolita look, she screamed that she almost wanted to puke, because she normally does not try to act cute. She smiled saying that this time she had given a lot of face to Cho lam, she said that she'll not leave TV city in such look.
Besides, Selena has recently been very busy rehearsing for her performance in the Tung Wah Charity Show. It turns out that during that night she'll be like a trapeze artist, in the air she'll do the split and other difficult moves.

Grace Wong and Carlo Ng were rehearsing for TVB's Anniversary show yesterday and danced Hiphop. Grace, Fala Chen, Nancy Wu, Selena Li, Carlo Ng and Benjamin Yuen etc rehearsed for the "Street Hot Coffee Rain Dance" part. Despite it being hiphop, the pairs had many close body contact movements. During the rehearsals, Grace and Carlo were most hilarious, while dancing it seemed they were in awkward positions, close to each other's private parts which made Grace extremely shocked and quickly covered herself. She admitted that she didn't know the dance moves were that intimate."We didn't touch each others parts. (Did you feel awkward?) "After performing in the show (Stricly Come Dancing Season II) I have given all I can."

Also Fala stated that the dance moves were more intimate than she thought. "Hiphop culture is like that, its different from Chinese culture. Everyone don't misunderstand, it's just dancing". She was more worried about dancing in the rainy atmosphere and will wear undergarment clothing to avoid getting exposed. Nancy Wu who won an award celebrated by drinking champagne with her fans. As for Jaqueline Chong sending her congratulations, Nancy kindly Thanked her.

The red carpet was rolled out again this evening ahead of this year's TVB Anniversary Awards and the company had arranged for artistes to be delivered by a fleet of eight vintage cars. In this second event of the three anniversary gala presentations, the stars offered more finery as they stepped out with their escorts.

Cyan was definitely the lucky colour of the night as both last year's Best Actress Winner Lee Si Kei (李司棋) and Michelle Yim (米雪), who went on to take this year's Best Actress accolade, both chose this colour for their gowns, adorned with millions of dollars worth of sponsored diamonds. Si Kei's gown was more conservative and befitting of her maturity and despite looking a little puffy, still carried a graceful air as she stepped up the red carpet, accompanied by last year's Best Actor winner Moses Chan (陳豪). However, Michelle made the most of her ever-youthful looks and figure and carried off her low cut fitted dress beautifully, looking more comfortable than many with only half her years.

For the younger generation of ladies on the carpet, the cold winter evening was no deterrent for a strong show of shoulders and cleavage. Tavia Yeung (楊怡)'s wine-coloured backless bikini dress from Japan and HK$10 million of diamond jewellery definitely caught a lot of attention, proving that a rise in popularity certainly gives a boost to confidence. She laughed that she was elegant from the front and sexy from behind. Not to be outdone, Shirley Yeung (楊思琦) also give a complete view of her curvy back in her deep-V oyster fish-tail dress and seven-figure jewellery sponsorship.

Nancy Wu (胡定欣)'s low-cut dress of many colours resembled a fruit-flavoured ice-lolly, but was a bold distraction from the muted tones of this year's dresses. Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮) appeared in a rather understated pale yellow number by Cecilia Yau, but the tie-on straps were probably more fitting for a beach vest than for an evening gown. She topped the table for the value of her jewellery, wearing HK$20 million of diamonds. Suki Chui (徐淑敏)'s blue and black combination did not work at all and the blue stilettos did nothing to help the droopy shapeless frock.

Liza Wang (汪明荃) continued her recent penchant for Mandarin-style dresses, provided by designer Shiatzy Chen in an unflattering purple and gold print satin gown that looked like it had been made by a high school textiles student. Despite being accessorised with HK$9 million of precious jewellery, it still did not make much of an impact for TVB's "big sis".

The black and white theme was carried over from last year as Selena Li (李詩韻), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Christina Ng (伍詠薇), Krystal Tin (田蕊妮), Fala Chen (陳法拉) and Susanna Kwan (關菊英) stayed with a safe option.

With recent gossip focusing on the rumoured relationships between Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), and also Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) and Raymond Lam (林峯), the organisers played along as the two couples were arranged to walk down the carpet arm-in-arm with their respective rumoured partners.

Charmaine showed her love for big bows once again in her choice of outfit this year and also showed off her chest and shoulders with her cute pink and white dress. Linda opted for a black Barney Cheng corset dress with a high split skirt worth HK$130,000, but the adornment on her right arm looked like she had encountered black-Spiderman on her way to the show. She also showed off HK$4.8 million of jewellery and laughed that she has never dressed this way before, but it was great to show off her 22-inch waist.

Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) broke from convention this year, surprising everyone by wearing a dinner jacket and bow-tie. Maybe she felt no confidence in winning any awards this year, so she decided to pay tribute to James Bond instead.

As usual, the men were quite conventional, appearing in mainly black suits and a selection of shirts, t-shirts and ties. Best Actor Ha Yu (夏雨) stood out in his pure white suit, whilst Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) once again broke from tradition with his choice of a brown leather jacket, grey trousers and Simon Cowell-esque black v-neck t-shirt.

The most unusual outfit worn by a male was Roger Kwok (郭晉安) who managed to combine tartan, spots, bright red trousers and army boots to create a costume that can only be summed up by one word - circusmaster.

Perhaps the strangest sight of the evening was the clash of Nancy Sit (薜家燕)'s shocking pink muu-muu dress and Derek Kok (郭政鴻)'s shimmery gold suit - no wonder he needed to keep his shades on!
